Spain – La Manga Club

For those who dream of playing golf on beautiful, top quality courses in an ideal, year-round climate, La Manga Club is the near perfect golf destination.

La Manga Club has always been synonymous with golf and, with its three championship courses and outstanding practice facilities, it is perhaps hardly surprising that it has been voted Europe’s top golf resort three times in the past four years. The resort has also recently been chosen as the official winter training base of the German PGA in Spain.

Many international tournaments have been hosted at La Manga Club, including the Spanish Open, Spanish PGA Championships, Spanish Junior Championships, Ladies’ Spanish Open and Senior Spanish Open for men, not to mention countless televised corporate and celebrity golf events.

With a choice of three superb, 18 hole championship courses, each with its own unique style and terrain, but all offering tranquil surroundings and many outstanding views, there is something to challenge golfers of all ages and abilities.

Portugal – Vale do Lobo

Designed by Sir Henry Cotton, the Vale do Lobo course is very scenic with lovely clifftop views of the Atlantic Ocean and its beaches, as well as the surrounding Algarve countryside. The Par 3 16th hole (on the Royal Golf Course) has been called the “most photographed hole in Europe” and it is here that drives must carry two ravines to reach a green 210 metres away.

The course’s fairways are undulating and almost without exception, quite narrow and lined with mature umbrella pines. The well-protected greens also pose a challenge to golfers.

If this particular course doesn’t appeal, there are at least another 25 other courses within an easy drive from Vale do Lobo!

Egypt – Sharm el Sheik

The new 18 hole Championship Golf Course at Sharm el Sheik has introduced a new dimension to this fantastic destination. Located just a couple of miles from all hotels in Sharm El Sheikh, the Bermuda grass course has 18 lakes which attract a variety of exotic birds. Excellent practice facilities are available including a popular Driving Range and Par 3 Course. The Golf Course is 6021 meters, playing to a par 72.

The Clubhouse hosts a state of the art conference facility, equipped with all the latest technology and there is a good Pro Shop stocked with leading brands of golf merchandise. There is a 19th Hole Bar and Restaurant and Jolino Restaurant.

Mauritius - Le Touessrok

A championship golf course of extraordinary concept and immaculate execution has been created off the coast of Mauritius. One & Only Le Touessrok Golf Course is on its very own tropical island in the blue Indian Ocean, fringed by white sands with a backdrop of green mountains – truly one of the world’s great golf settings. All 18 holes have views of the ocean – some with glimpses across clearings through the trees; others by coming close to the shore.

There are nine lakes in all, with a number of holes requiring tee shots across sea inlets to the fairways. The water and the expansive bunkers of indigenous white sand set off the natural backdrop of trees and vegetation.

Playing at over 7000 yards/6476 metres, this is the longest course in Mauritius, with the holes snaking up and down the length of the island. Bernhard Langer has designed the course to challenge advanced players, while remaining exciting and playable for recreational golfers. This has been achieved with four sets of tee decks for each hole, so the angles of attack and approach vary – with a generous provision of fairway where appropriate. The greens are mainly small and undulating, requiring precise approach shots
